Written from what the system does today rather than from what we intend. Where something is still being built, it says so.
This is a plain description of our current practice, not a reviewed legal policy. A formal privacy policy is being drafted and will replace this page before anything can be bought here.
The microphone opens when a child presses the conch or says the wake word, and at no other time. What they say is turned into text and answered. We do not clone voices — not a child's, not a parent's — so nothing we hold can be used to imitate anyone. A narration you record in Studio is your recording, played back.
The exact period for which a transcript is kept is not published yet, because it is not yet tested end to end. Deletion is available on request today; a self-service control is being built.
Nothing a child writes, says or asks is used to train a model. Not ours, and not anyone else's — this is a rule in the system, not a preference. A parent can see what their child asked and explored, and only after the parent's consent has been recorded.
Consent today is recorded rather than independently verified. Indian data-protection rules require verifiable parental consent, which means checking against an existing verified adult record rather than a tick-box, and we do not have that yet. It is being built, and we would rather say so here than let a tick-box be mistaken for it.
Nothing on this site does. Drawing a child into a story from a photo is a thing we want to build, and it is not offered, because it needs a consent, approval and review process that does not exist yet. When it does, it will be described here before it is sold.
Photographs you put into a Smart Album are yours. They are used to make your album and nothing else, they are not published anywhere, and they are not used for training.
Studio is open for anyone to try, and accounts are not connected to it yet. That means an album draft can be opened by anyone who has its link. We are saying this plainly rather than burying it: please do not put anything private in a draft until accounts and the ownership check are in place.
The service runs in Mumbai and the media you upload is stored there. Voice cloning is switched off in part for this reason: it would have sent a child's audio across a border to a vendor, and we would rather not.
